Curriculum Knowledge Mats
Knowledge (and skills) progression are integral to a coherent curriculum. We want children to gain specific knowledge in each curriculum subject that builds up over time. Knowledge Mats play a useful role here, as they focus on one subject or topic and grow in complexity across year groups. They are tools to help children gain, retain and build the knowledge and skills as set out in our curriculum intent.
Knowledge Mats contains the essential knowledge that children will need to know as part of the topic they are studying in class. These Knowledge Mats are designed to be used at school during lessons. Parents can help children learn the information and vocabulary contained on the mat.
