Our Gospel Values
We have spent time exploring our Gospel Values and how they relate to our lives both in school, at home and in society. We examined the ‘Beatitudes’ as a staff and with children to ensure we have a good understanding of our values to live by.
Our Gospel Values are:
'I Iam among you as one who serves' Luke 22:26
‘Love your neighbour as yourself’ Matthew 22:39
‘Do to others as God would do’
‘Blessed are those who hunger for righteousness’
‘Be merciful, just as your father is merciful’ Luke 6:36
‘Do what you say’
‘Peace I leave you, my peace I give you’ John 14:27
‘Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid’ Mark 6:49
Our Values are part of our everyday life at St Joseph’s. During time in school, we have made a whole school collage of our Gospel Values. We have explored elements of scripture and the stories of Jesus which demonstrate our Gospel Values.
We are committed to follow the example and teachings of Jesus.
‘Together we do our best for Jesus’
|We have designed and printed symbols to represent our Gospel Values. These are displayed all around the school. Can you find all the eight of our Gospel Values?|
Each week we focus on a different Gospel Value in our Class Worship. During our phase praise assemblies, we celebrate children who have demonstrated our Gospel Value throughout the week.
